Match Report – 5th Match: Clove Challengers vs Ginger Generals
Clove Challengers won the toss and chose to field.
Ginger Generals after inserted to bat was only able to score 83 off their 10 overs, only Roland Cato was able to score freely in his knock of 27 from 15 balls which included 3 sixes, though no bowler picked up more than 1 wicket they were able to bowl exert tight control over the proceedings in the first half of the match.
Clove Challengers found the going difficult very early and lost wickets regularly, they were at one stage 24-4 after 6 overs, Nicklaus Redhead (2-7) made it difficult for the batters with his pace and control, Larry Edward 2-11 also helped to put early pressure on the Challengers. In the second half of the innings it was the Darron Nedd show, he scored 50 not out of 17 balls including 5 sixes. The last over bowled by Daniel Mc Donald went for 22, he was severely punished by Nedd who was able to muscle his team to an unlikely victory.
