Match Report – 6th Match: Bay Leaf Blasters vs Cinnamon Pacers

Cinnamon Pacers produced a much better performance with the ball and was able to restrict a powerful Bayleaf Blasters batting line up to 92 for 6 off their 10 overs. Economical bowling from the Pacers had Blasters scoring 30 of the first 5 overs, however Devon Smith 22 off 11 and Denis Smith 27 off 16 were able to help the blasters post a respectable 92 from 10 overs. The Smiths accounted for 5 of the 6 sixes hit in the innings between them.
Cinnamon Pacers made light work of the chase and was able to reach their target in the 1st ball of the 9th over. The chase was set up nicely by their openers Heron Campbell (41) and Alick Athanaze (36), the pair added 80 runs for the first wicket. When they were separated with the final ball of the 6th over the damage was already done, they smashed 9 fours and 4 sixes in their partnership. The victory was the Pacers first of the tournament which left Blasters winless after 2 matches.
