Match Preview – 19th Match: Clove Challengers vs Ginger Generals
Ginger Generals and Clove Challengers meet for the second time in the tournament, the first match was one of the closest match where Challengers won off the last ball scoring 22 runs of the final over to claim an unlikely victory.
In the Spotlight
Ginger Generals who gained one point from the rained out Saturday fixture will be looking to gain maximum points as they look to climb the table into one of the semi-final positions. Ginger Generals have not been at their best with both bat and ball in their recent matches and would like to get that right in this match up. Their batsman have failed to capitalize on the starts they have gotten, the bowlers recently have not had the success as they did earlier in the tournament and would be looking to their experience players such as Nelon Pascal and Larry Edward to lead the way.
Clove Challengers who have success since the revamp of their batting lineup will look to continue their winning ways, Darren Nedd and Denroy Charles have performed well at the top of the order while Teddy Bishop look more comfortable coming in at number 3. The bowling continues to be good and with the inclusion for Imran Joseph has gotten better.
Weather
The previous day was completely washed out due to the persistent rain, the forecast is for more rain on Sunday however conditions should improve to allow to play on the day.
Pitch Conditions
The overhead conditions will provide some assistance to the bowlers on what should be another good batting wicket.
