Match Preview – 21st Match: Saffron Strikers vs Nutmeg Warriors

Saffron Strikers and Nutmeg Warriors face off against each other for the second time in the tournament, the Ryan John and Andre Fletcher battle should be an enticing affair. Both teams will be looking for a win to strengthen their positions for one of the semi-final spots.

In the Spotlight

Following the rain out in the last match Saffron Strikers will be keen to pick up 2 points to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Strikers batsmen strong batting line up has been done well in recent matches with the Openers Lawrence and St. Hillaire setting up the innings nicely for the power hitters (Joseph and John) and the back end of the innings. The bowlers have leaked runs lately and would like to be more disciplined in their effort.

The Nutmeg Warriors in their last match enjoyed their most successful effort with the ball when they were able to restrict Bay Leaf Blasters to 77 for 7 off their ten overs. Their bowlers would be looking to put in a similar effort against a very talented Strikers Batting line up. Their batting is built around the exploits of Andre Fletcher and they would hope he has another good day with the bat.

The previous day was completely washed out due to the persistent rain, the forecast is for more rain on Sunday however conditions should improve to allow to play on the day.
