Match Report – 21st Match: Saffron Strikers vs Nutmeg Warriors

Nutmeg Warriors won the toss and chose to bat.  

Nutmeg Warriors recorded the highest first inning score of the tournament when they ended their innings on 131 from their 10 overs. Nutmeg Warriors got off the blocks fast and dealt with the Strikers opening bowlers severely. Fletcher was the first batter dismissed with the 4th ball of over number 4 for 38 with the score on 62, Fletcher’s knocked lasted for 14 balls which included 5 sixes. Seandell Regis continued his good for and fell short of his fifty by 1 run.  Haston Jackson cameo at the end of 19 from 9 balls helped the warriors set the highest team total. John Olive 2-23 was the most successful Strikers bowler.

Saffron Strikers successfully chased down the tournament highest score to win an exciting and high scoring match. The Strikers chase got off to the worst possible way Lendon Lawrence was dismissed of the first ball. What followed was some sustain and clinical hitting from the Strikers batsmen. Mickel Joseph 35 from 18, Ryan John 29 from 9 and Kendel George 28 from 12 were able to their team over the line with 11 balls. The Warriors bowlers were dealt with severely. Dane Murray conceded the highest of a singled over when 6th over of the innings when for 33.
