The Blasters asked to bat first lost opener Jerlani Robinson for 3 in the 2nd over bowled by Darel Cyrus, a restorative partnership of 41 between Kavem Hodge and Devon Smith took the total to 52 for the 2nd wicket. The dismissal of Hodge placed the brakes on the scoring rate with the blasters finishing on 94-4 from their 10 overs. Darel Cyrus 2-14 was the Warriors most successful bowler.
At their turn to the crease Nutmeg Warriors through their Captain Andre Fletcher was severe on the bowling from the first over, 17 came of the over bowled by Kavem Hodge inclusive of two towering sixes off Fletchers bat. The warriors scored at 15 runs per over in the power play and recorded 60 without loss after 4 overs. Fletcher finished not out on 62 inclusive of 6 sixes, Keron Cottoy was the other not out batsman on 17. The only bowler to taste success for the Blasters was Richard Rogers who picked up Seandell Regis for 10.
