Ginger Generals winners on 5 of their 8 group stage matches will come up against the Saffron Strikers who has been underwhelming in the first phase of the tournament with 3 victories of their 8 matches.

The Ginger Generals will be banking on the form of their top three batters in the order to get them across the line against the Strikers. Kimani Melius and Johann Jeremiah are both in the top 5 runs scorers in the tournament and Roland Cato in position 7. They will hope that their untested middle order will be able to deliver if called upon.

The Generals bowlers have seen fluctuating performances of late and will hope that they are able to put in a disciplined effort with the ball. The Gingers attack has been heavily influenced by spin with as many as 4 spin options used in their earlier matches. Reynold Charles with his uncomplicated left arm orthodox has been his team leading wicket takers and will have hopes of picking up a couple more in this important match for his team.

The Saffron Strikers will be looking to put the disappoint of the first phase behind them and look to up the urgency in this the business phase of the tournament.  Their batters have not been consistent enough and it’s reflected in the constant changing of the batting order. The strikers will be hoping that the batsmen at the top of the order gets them off to a good start which eases the pressure on their explosive middle order.

The Strikers bowling have been good for most part with impressive performances from Darius Martin and Josh Thomas. They will be hoping that the two fast bowlers will be able to control the proceedings with the ball and produce the type of performances that will get them closer to the final of the tournament.
