Match Preview – Qualifier 1: Nutmeg Warriors vs Bay Leaf Blasters – 25th Match Spice Isle T10 2nd Edition

Nutmeg Warriors (1) and the Bayleaf Blasters (2) qualified at the top of the table from the group stage and battles each other for a spot in the grand final of the season 2 of the Dream XI Spice Isle T10 tournament.

The Nutmeg Warriors winners of 7 of their 8 group matches will be full of confidence entering this match. The Warrior’s batting lineup has line is rounding into form and is proving a threat to the other teams in the tournament.

In their last group match chasing 129 for victory the Warriors achieved their target rather easily with more than an over to spare, Sunil Ambris looks to be in good form with a knock of 36 from 12 balls against the Challengers, Donald Mc Donald who has made it a habit of stealing the show was adjudged the player of the match against the Challengers. Mc Donald carried his team over the line with a scintillating knock of 45 from 16 balls. The Warriors will be hoping that their batsmen will be able to continue their good form with the bat.

The Bayleaf Blasters the most experienced team in the tournament will be banking on their experience in battling against a young and talented Nutmeg Warriors team. The Blasters batting in the tournament has centered around the pair of Devon Smith and Kavem Hodge who sits at two and three on the batting charts respectively. The Blasters will be hoping for home of the same from their prolific pair.

Captain Devon Smith will be banking on his bowlers to deliver another good performance with the ball, the balanced bowling unit has done well so for in the tournament, it comprises of two fast bowlers with Test match experiences (Nelon Pascal and Shermon Lewis). The Blasters bowling will be placed under attack by the explosive Warriors batting lineup, they will be hoping to make early and regular inroads against a relentless batting line up.
