Nutmeg Warriors and Bayleaf Blasters meet for the third time in the tournament and this time for the top prize. The Warriors have won the two previous encounter and will set their sights on making it three in a row. The Blasters would have other ideas as they would be banking on their experienced line up to lead them to victory in their first final.
The two time finalist will be banking on their explosive batting line up to do the job for the team once more, the opening pair of Sunil Ambris and Seandell Regis would be asked to set a solid foundation for the likes of Cottoy and Mc Donald to build on.
The Warriors bowling has been serviceable throughout the tournament and knows that they would have to be at their best restrict a battling line up that possess International and first class experience.
The Blasters buoyed by a clinical performance in the qualifier 2 confidence will be high that they can finally get the better of the Warriors in this the second edition of the Spice Isle T10 tournament. The Warriors batting was given a much-needed boost by the performance of their opening batsmen in their previous match against the Generals. The Dominican duo of Jerlani Robinson and Kavem Hodge put on 80 for the first wicket in 6 overs and scored 48 apiece.
The Blasters bowling has down well in their matches to date and will be crucial if they are to lift the trophy. Captain Devon Smith bowlers have responded well when called upon. With the Generals ending closer to victory Smith turned to Amikel Dubbisette and in 2 overs was able to swing the match in his team favour with figures of 5-12.
The final showdown may come down to the team that hold their nerves and perform best in the field. Should be an exciting matchup between the best 2 teams in the tournament.
