The Nutmeg Warriors and the Ginger Generals meet for the second time in the tournament in a match involving two of the top three teams on the points table. After their first encounter to ended with a no-result due to rain, both the Warriors and the Generals will be keen on picking up two points to bolster their status within the top half of the table.
Both the Warriors and Generals enter this match on the back of victories the Warriors enjoyed a 46-run victory over Clove Challengers in their recent match. The Blasters were not at their fluent best with the bat but were able to score 100 for 5 on the back of a 34 ball 53 from captain Andre Fletcher.
The warriors were much better in the bowling dismissing the Challengers for the 54 which is the lowest score in the 3rd season of the tournament. Josh Thomas who ended with 3 wickets for 9 runs was the lead bowler in that match up.
The Generals enters with match with confidence after defeating the Bayleaf Blasters in their previous by 20 runs. The Generals batting was good for them in the previous match racking up the highest total of season 3. The runs scoring was shared by Johann Jeremiah (32), Lendon Lawrence (30) and Akeem Dewar 35. The Generals would need their batsmen to be at their best against the Warriors who possess one of the better bowling units in the tournament.
The Generals’ bowling is still a work in progress as the team has yet to settle on a consistent bowling unit. This is one area that the Generals needs to contain if they are to contain the explosive batting line up of the Warriors.
